Pet Friendly Homes in Boca Raton: A REALTOR® NIGHTMARE

A REALTOR® NIGHTMARE

A REALTOR® NIGHTMARE

pet friendly condos in highland beach florida

I washed my phone yesterday.  Not on purpose, mind you.  It got scooped  up with the bed linens and tossed in the wash.

By the time I realized it, my phone was in hot water...and so was I!

I had a call to make, but I didn't know the number.  Panic set in!  I was scrambling.  Where was the number?  It's amazing how much we rely on our phones for everything today - phone numbers, contact info, alarm clock, and so on.  I remember thinking, I wish I had a phone book.

This saga started at 8:00 am and took 12 hours to resolve.  Thankfully, it's resolved.  I now have a new phone with a bright case.

What would you do if something happened to your phone?

Glad you got the nightmare resolved.

I would use my landline if my cell phone was being washed

There are some benefits to using older technology ... even if only used as a backup.

There are few things that will rattle my cage more than car problems or issues with technology.  Yes, we have become very dependent on technology.

Good lesson to keep backups of all contacts.

Thank goodness I sync all the contacts in my database to my phone, and vice versa.  And I have a paper record of names and numbers of folks I am currently working with.

Elyse we have a CRM with database online so it would be fairly simple to re-create.  I hope I never have to. Sorry you had to go through all that....ugh.

Hi Elyse,

So sorry you had to go through this. At my household I have duplication at every level. CRM - Computers etc...  My iPhone and my husband use the same data base. I have actually had to use his phone during updates etc....and I did lose my phone once - I got a GPS lock on it and locked it off and got a call from someone who found it. I gave them a reward that they wouldn't take but I insisted. I left it on my car and it went all the way up to Flagstaff before falling off the hood!

I can't even begin to go there in my head, Elyse! Glad it all worked out in the end. But that may also be why subconsciouly I never bring my phone into my bedroom.

Good Morning Elyse - our iPhones are really critical.  I assume that you had a backup on iTunes.

First, I would panic...LOL...we are so used to using our phones for so much, it takes a while to adjust to a new way of doing something.

Hello Elyse, I guess I'd have to freak out a bit! Just got rid of my land line last year and tossed any phone books I had saved as well.

Elyse, I use Google contacts and calendar, so all my info is on my computer too.  Glad you had an old phone for a backup, I would panic first too.

Not funny at all but glad you're up & running again.

Hi Elyse

Well that is quite  story! I would have panicked for sure. Thanks goodness you were able to get it all resolved even though it took a while. I backup daily on icloud thankfully.

Oh, Elyse, I'm so sorry and I can't even imagine! I have had issues with my phone but, never washed it!  When my boys were younger, they were both lifeguards and I can't tell you how many phones we went through each summer for them. It's totally different though, when you rely so heavily on your phone for business.

I have a Mac and like Kathleen Daniels would use my landline and use my contacts on my Mac (that sync with my phone) while I wait on a new one.

Elyse- so THAT'S what you meant when you said you washed your phone the other day!!! I panic if I my phone at home so I cannot imagine what you went through! Glad all is well! And how do you like your new phone?

I smashed my iPhone a few weeks ago and had to order another one from Amazon "next day" and for 250.00 was up and running with a better phone.  Luckily most of my important stuff was backed up on iCloud.  Sorry about your mishap Elyse Berman, PA, CRS .  Yes we rely on our phones like never before.
