Buttons has 3 bad discs in her back. We have known for some time, but now it has gotten bad. Being a whirling dervish for 12 years has taken its toll on her back. She has been in pain and ordered on complete crate rest. (Not bed rest as that would entail jumping.) Vet is afraid if she jumps, she could become paralyzed.
Anti-inflammatories didn't help. She is now on several meds including prednisone, carafate, antibiotics, tramadol and gabapentin. We see vet again on Monday amd the emergency specialist hospital has a copy of her records - just in case.
Has anyone ever gone through this with their dog?
